You have the right to revoke this consent at any time and to refuse the use of cookies; we have explained how you can exercise this right below. Please note, however, that you may not be able to use all functions of our platform if you decide to reject the use of cookies.

10. Social plugins

10.1. Facebook plugins (Like button)

This website uses social plugins (“Plugins”) provided by the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The Plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition “Facebook Social Plug-in” or “Facebook Social Plugin”. An overview of the Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

When the user accesses a page of the Empire of O'Z website containing such a plugin, the browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to the user’s browser and integrated into the website.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that the user’s browser has called up the corresponding page of the Empire of O'Z website, even if the user does not have a Facebook account or is not currently logged on to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from the user’s browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly assign the visit of the Empire of O'Z website to the Facebook account. If the user interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button or making a comment, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to Facebook friends.

Facebook may use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and demand-oriented design of Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate the use of the Empire of O'Z website with regard to the advertisements displayed by the user on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about the activities on the Empire of O'Z website and to provide further services associated with the use of Facebook.

If the user does not want Facebook to associate the data collected via the Empire of O'Z website with the Facebook account, the user must log out of Facebook before visiting the Empire of O'Z website.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as the relevant rights and setting options for the protection of privacy can be taken from Facebook’s data protection information:
http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

10.2. Use of Facebook remarketing

For this purpose, Facebook’s remarketing tag has been implemented on this website. This tag establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers when you visit the website. The information is transmitted to the Facebook server that you have visited this website and Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. For more information about Facebook’s collection and use of the data and your rights and choices about protecting your privacy, please see Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate the visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of these pages, we are not aware of the content of the data transmitted or how Instagram uses it. For more information, please see Instagram’s privacy policy: https://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy

This log information may include your IP address, the address of the sites you visit, which may also include Pinterest features, the type and settings of your browser, the date and time of your request, your use of Pinterest, and cookies.
